Indian National Congress and its plural, inclusive ideology have won the Nagaon Lok Sabha seat. This is a victory of the people of Nagaon. I am proud of and grateful to the people of Nagaon. I thank the Congress party workers and supporters for this overwhelming win. I pledge to work for this great constituency, it's people, Assam and the Northeast, and keep the inclusive, secular spirit alive.

Pradyut Bordoloi was the Cabinet Minister of the State Government of Assam from 2001 to 2015 holding various portfolios like Industry & Commerce and Public Enterprises & Power. He is currently nominated by Rahul Gandhi as a member of the AICC, and an AICC secretary in-charge of Nagaland. He is an alumnus of the most acknowledged college of the North-east, Cotton College. He pursued his M.A. and M. Phil from one of the best universities of India, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
